Dr. Debi M. Huyssoon (pronounced Hi-soon) is the owner/dentist of Salem Family and Cosmetic Dentistry and Sherwood Old Town Dental. She truly values the patient-doctor relationship. She understands that patients have concerns and fears about dental treatment, so she makes every effort to make her patients feel as comfortable as possible and encourages patients to ask questions.
She attended the University of San Diego where she earned her B.A. in Biochemistry and received a B.S. in Biology at Portland State University. She received her dental degree (D.M.D.) from OHSU’s School of Dentistry and is a member of the American Dental Association, American General Dentists, Oregon Dental Association, and the Sherwood Chamber of Commerce. Dr. Huyssoon enjoys spending time with her family, traveling, reading and running. She and her husband live in Portland with their two adorable children and lovely little dogs, Emmon and Ruby.
Dr. Angela Toy was raised in St. Paul, Minnesota. She graduated from the University of Minnesota with an undergraduate degree in Chemistry. After working as a chemist for four years, she decided to pursue a career in dentistry. She attended the University of Minnesota School of Dentistry and earned her degree in 2005 and has been practicing as a general dentist. She loves the variety and challenges of general dentistry. She enjoys working with people of all ages but admits to having a soft spot for pediatric and geriatric patients. Dr. Toy is always pursuing opportunities to train herself in the latest dental techniques and technologies.
Dr. Gallegos received her Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Boise State University. She was a juvenile probation officer before she decided to pursue a career in dentistry. Dr. Gallegos chose dentistry because she was always interested in science, health care, and wanted to have a positive impact on people. She loves helping make others feel comfortable, confident and proud to smile.
Dr. Gallegos practiced full time in a private practice in Boise, ID for the last six years. She graduated from OHSU in 2005 and is now back in Oregon! She has two children; a son studying computer science in Idaho, and a daughter who works full time at a daycare. She enjoys yoga, traveling, diving, and riding her bike.
